Fellowships seeking candidates
Fellowships are available from the Royal Society and NERC. These are extremely attractive positions as they provide 5 years of independent funding, with freedom from excessive bureaucracy and teaching. The deadlines are early autumn to start a year later, but you need to get in touch several months before.
Post-docs
I don’t have any openings at present but please feel free send a cv to [email protected] if you will be looking for a position over the next year or two.
Graduate students seeking candidates
There are two standard routes to apply for graduate study in Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics:
- All students. including those resident outside the UK, are now eligible to apply to the NERC-funded Oxford Doctoral Training Programme in Environmental Research. These studentships are fully funded for 4 years.
- UK and international students can also apply directly to Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics. While there are only a relatively small number of scholarships available across the university, we have a good track record at securing these. There are also a number of scholarships that can be applied for in the county of origin, especially in the US, but you need to apply early. We can help you find and apply for these scholarships.
